Cleft Project in Karnataka state

Trinity Care Foundation has been actively supporting critical community health since 2007 with focus on child health. We provide free Cleft surgeries for the underprivileged children in Mallige Hospital, Bengaluru City, Karnataka State, India and our surgical team is headed by Prof. Dr. N Srinath. The project will help cleft children to go to school with confidence and self-esteem after their surgeries and treatments. The children will have less chances of getting bullied and traumatized. The families of these children will have confidence to bring up their Cleft children.

Health Program in Morarji Desai School ~ Anekal Taluk

As part of Health initiative in low-income schools, Trinity Care Foundation had covered Morarji Desai School, Anekal Taluk and undertook Health Screening, Health Education and providing Health Kits and others free of cost.

The School Health Program consists of the following;

1. Health screening of students for height, weight, skin, eye, dental, speech and hearing, cardiac, oral lesions, facial deformities, and others.,
2. Facilitating medical intervention for those shortlisted through the pre-screening
3. Imparting awareness on health issues, adolescent health, hand-washing, ill effects of tobacco and tooth brushing techniques to the students.
4. Training for teachers to carry forward the work.
5. Providing health kits
6. Digital Capture of Data
7. Providing Spectacles to identified students and school staff.

School Health Program | 2018-2019 internship

Trinity Care Foundation calls for healthcare professionals who are genuinely interested to travel, learn and work in Government Schools in Bangalore,Karnataka.

Eligibility 

The internship is open to Dentists, Doctors, Medical/Dental Interns and Health Educators. Above all, we welcome those with curiosity to explore and humility to learn.

Location: Bangalore city, Karnataka
Languages: English, for those interested to work, ability to converse in Kannada is an added advantage .
Duration: 18.July.2018  to 24.Feb.2019

The work will focus on issues pertaining to school students and cover health check-up, eye check-up and health education. The internship is for 7 months.



Type of work

The team will cover government schools in outskirt's of Bangalore, and undertake the following activities:

Free cleft surgeries for underprivileged children

Free facial deformities and cleft lip palate surgeries for underprivileged children by Trinity Care Foundation/TCF in Karnataka state, India.

The TCF team works in synergy with National Health Mission and Government of Karnataka.

  1. Identifies children with facial deformities such as cleft palate, cleft lip, tmj ankylosis, facial clefts, hemangioma and vascular malformations through mobilization camps in Taluks and Districts.
  2. Screens and treats them with a team of specialized doctors and surgeons in reputed hospitals in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, India
  3. The treated children will be followed up for prognosis and other need based treatments such as speech therapy and Dental treatments.

Internship Opportunities for Health Professionals


Internship Opportunities for Healthcare Professionals [ Doctors, Dentists, Public Health Professionals, Nurses and Medical/Dental/Social Work students ] with Trinity Care Foundation
